Julian Bream Trust Scholarships

The JULIAN BREAM TRUST provides scholarships for exceptionally gifted students of either the classical guitar or lute at the following UK institutions:

• The Royal Academy of Music
• The Royal College of Music
• The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama

The selection and subsequent nomination of suitable candidates for JBT Scholarships will be carried out by each of the above institutions in accordance with its normal auditioning procedures and criteria.

Julian Bream Trust Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of musical merit and may cover the full cost of tuition fees at the rate set by the relevant institution for UK students.

Applicants for the Senior Awards may be of any nationality, but must be under 20 years of age at the date of enrolment for undergraduate programmes and under 26 years of age at the date of enrolment for postgraduate programmes.

Applicants for the Junior Awards may be of any nationality, but must be of school age and resident in the United Kingdom.
